Today's our last roadshow. We'll be at Segi College Kota Damansara in a few hours' time. Of all days, we have a late roadshow on the final day. I hope we can hit our target in that few short hours, otherwise, it'll be a very unsatisfying closing!
Initially, we planned to go for steamboat after the roadshow today, but I have IMPACT! Hehehe. So we decided to postpone it. A few of us will be lunching together at 1U before heading to Segi college.
Since the campus is so big, I hope we'll really hit our target today and go waaaaaay pass it!!!
Lord, please help!

Wow... I think I'll cry if I was actually there. And this is only three-quarters of the Dome!!!
so that you may be blameless and innocent, God's children without any faults among a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world [Philippians 2:15]

Exactly one month after Michael Jackson's tragic death, another shocking one happened.
After reading all rumours about Yasmin Ahmad's death on Twitter and Facebook two days ago, I was relieved to find out she was actually still alive in the ICU.
Up until this morning, there were still Tweets about people visiting her at the hospital and she seemed fine.
Just a few minutes ago, I found out that she has passed on.
Meeting you at a talk you gave to the Communication students at Taylor's last year was indeed a meaningful one. Your bubbly personality left a huge impression on all of us. I always look forward to your Petronas commercials every festive season.
The one commercial I remember most was during Chinese New Year years ago. The commercial was about a bunch of elderly ladies at the old folks' home boasting about how successful their children were. One Chinese lady sat there looking sad because her son wasn't a big shot doctor or lawyer like the others. At the end of the day, her son came to pick her up and take her back home for Chinese New Year. All the other ladies could only envy them.
In Malaysia, there are only a handful of people who can leave such a big impression in people's hearts in just some short 60 seconds. I wish our generation could do something like that.
If only her car didn't break down, she could have made it to our See, Hear, Speak Media Carnival last year. At least we had the chance to hear her speak in person. Great director and a great influence. Thinking of our new subject next semester in film and TV production, I wonder if we will be able to come up with something half as good as her productions.
One of her best works...
She probably hopes that her family and friends will not be too sad right now. Condolences to them.
This coming Hari Raya and Deepavali, no more new meaningful commercials to look forward to. ='(
Rest in peace, Yasmin Ahmad.

This week's roadshow was interesting. Monday's roadshow at Taylor's College Petaling Jaya was cancelled. Yes. My campus. But even if it went on, I wouldn't have been there anyway because I was in Langkawi. I have no idea why our Monday roadshows were always cancelled.
We failed to hit our target in three of the universities we went to this week because of bad location. And it is true. If you plan to go to HELP, the building is there, but YOU JUST DON'T SEE IT. We spent almost half an hour circling the area, no signboards whatsoever. Even Yu Min's GPS led us to our destination, but we just couldn't see the building. Asked around for directions and everybody led us to the same place. The best part was, nobody told us that the campus was UNDERGROUND. =______=" After deciding to go in the huge parking lot which we passed by a number of times, we finally saw the building. What a GREAT location!
Not only was HELP a 'great' location, it was also our worst roadshow to date. It didn't help that half (or more) of the campus was on break. We were so bored that we got really tired. We just couldn't wait to get home after a disappointing day. We packed up in less than half an hour. Sigh... At least we got to enjoy the air condition.
Universiti Malaya was truly an eye-opener. I didn't know the place was so HUGE! I knew it was big, but I didn't know you literally have to drive to go to a different building. Pretty cool! We almost hit our target there. It was pretty regretful. Sigh...
Thank God for yesterday's roadshow at UCSI! We had no problems finding the place. It's basically one straight road all the way, until a little confusing U-turn opposite the area. Students responded really well too! At the same time, the campus students had another event going on next to us. We were entertained at the same time while watching them play the game. So, thank You Lord once again for a successful roadshow at USCI! =D
I think most of us are gonna have more muscles by the end of the roadshow. Especially this week, we had two roadshows on the first floor. We had to carry all our stuff up and down the lift, walking in and out. No wonder we're having back aches now. And mind you, we're not just carrying computers and boxes. Thank God for the nice uncle who fetches our stuff on his lorry back and forth everyday. He always comes down to help us. ^__^
I'm glad we ended the week with a good one. Five more campuses to go!!!

This week, we met our target twice in Inti Nilai and Sunway University College. Our first roadshow at Taylor's Subang this week was a nightmare. First, we were given a bad location without any shed. We were really worried for the weather because we have six computers up and lots of buntings spread out around the place. Too computers could overheat in the hot sun, and if it rains, well ... need I say more?
It got pretty windy towards lunchtime. Our buntings were falling off all over the place. I think we spent more time picking up the buntings than actually registering people. Even the two huge and HEAVY backdrops fell!!! We quickly moved it to the side because we were afraid they would fall on people. At one point, the wind was so strong we were all holding on to one bunting and barely moved because ... we just couldn't! We knew that was a bad sign, and what we hoped not to happen actually did happen.
It rained.
We had no choice but to dismantle everything. We felt so sorry for two guys who were in the middle of registering for their accounts. We had to cover them with our buntings until they were done. A few students who planned to join our 'Rexona No Sweat Audition Challenge' were nice enough to help us pack up. That was probably our fastest pack up to date! Everything was wet, the flyers, clipboards, computers, boxes, and etc.
As usual, it stopped raining less than half an hour later. =_= It was still early and we weren't even close to our target. So, we decided to set up three computers. Thank God we managed to request for a canopy from the college at the last minute.
Although we didn't reach our target in Taylor's, the next two days were great!!! For once, all six computers worked. We had no connection problems, only got disconnected a couple of times. And despite getting wet, the computers were still working! LOL
Inti Nilai was the best, not only did we arrive at our furthest location ON TIME, we finished setting up half an hour before we were supposed to start. I realised in most of the campuses, the foreign students were very supportive, especially in Sunway. Maybe they appreciate free stuff more!
And just a little note, if you wanna reject something or someone, at least SAY 'No.' Don't just ignore the person.
That's all for the week's update at our roadshow. I'll be off to Langkawi this weekend. Weeeee~! Finally some time off with the family. Can't wait!
Left hanging.

I don't understand why it takes UniSA such a long time to 'moderate' our results. The PTPTN people have been bugging me about my results submission since before the semester ended. I hope they'll be out by the end of the week. The wait is nerve-wrecking!!!
On a lighter note, since my tagboard is so DEAD, I've decided to remove it. Any comments on my posts, you should know where to write them. =)

This is a really beautiful song. And the music video is so sad! ='(
So sad that the most talented singers are the most underrated. Sigh...
They're like the Korean Black Eyed Peas, but BETTER.
*BONUS*
2NE1's 'I Don't Care'...
This song is sweeping all the online and offline charts in Korea. I can totally see why. It's the song you keep hearing in my blog. =P They debuted only less than two months ago!!! Again, the youngest is only 16 this year.
I don't care~~~

As mentioned in my previous post, I started working at an AsiaSoft roadshow under MYC, promoting two online games, Sudden Attack and Audition Season 2. And I must say, we had so much fun!!!
Tze Mien was also part of the team. I also found out the night before that Yu Min was also going to join us. I haven't seen her in a long time. I'm glad we met up this way. We caught up with each other so much in the past three days.
Back to the roadshow, we basically had to go round colleges and get people to register for an AsiaSoft passport on the spot, and also activate the games. Our target is 100 people for every college. And trust me, 100 people is not easy to reach. Especially with occasional crappy wireless connection, some people get a little impatient and they weren't willing to wait long.
After every successful registration, we feel very satisfied. Our talking actually paid off! LOL You should have seen the look on our faces when a Nescafe truck came by MMU Cyberjaya today giving out free COLD coffee. Each of us gulped down two small cups in seconds.
Our location today was AWESOME! Although it was outdoors with a little shed (we were sweating like mad), the strategic location allowed great flow of students. And all of them were so supportive. They were willing to spend a few extra minutes registering to get the freebies. They loved it! The colleges we went to in the last two days were a little more difficult. We should have counted the numbers of times we got a "No, thank you." >.< And we barely hit our 100 people target. But today, we totally exceeded the number even before 4pm, the time we're supposed to end. So we got to pack up and go home earlier today. =D
Speaking of pack up, the most tiring part of the roadshow is probably the setting and packing up of stuff. Not to mention, we're all GIRLS there. There was only one guy, and he probably wouldn't have been there if he wasn't the project executive's brother. Carry all the heavy boxes, computers, buntings, backdrops, tables, and etc, my body is aching all over already. But then again, I don't exercise often. So my body aches pretty easily. XD
Anyway, we were also promoting a Sudden Attack Girl Search and also a dance competition apart from the online games. The dance auditions today were waaaaay better than yesterday, hands down. We had a lot of fun watching! I'm glad some foreign students took part as well. I don't believe we can't find at least THREE good dancers or people who love to dance in each campus. Thank God for a great harvest today at MMU Cyberjaya!
Here are some foreign students dancing. I'm not so sure where exactly they're from. Don't wanna get their countries wrong. They danced as a group and we all got really excited when he did one particular move. I can't really describe it here. I'll just leave it to your imaginations. =D

Since I've also registered for an AsiaSoft account, I started playing the games yesterday. Our fingers got itchy when there weren't that many people in the roadshow too. Our DJ, Adam, got pretty hooked to Audition. And now I'm addicted too! The best part of the game is that it has PLENTY of Korean songs for us to 'dance' too. LOL! It's basically like O2Jam, but this is dancing. It's fun! But I'm still a noob in the game. My brain seems to process the arrows a little too slow. =_=

So, if you any girls are interested to win RM1000 cash without doing much or any dancer out there who wants to grab up to RM3000 cash prize, watch out for the AsiaSoft Sudden Attack and Audition roadshow at your colleges throughout this month! =D
We'll either be at Uniten or UCSI on Monday. See ya there!

Filipino prisoners dancing to Super Junior's Sorry, Sorry.
They were the same bunch of prisoners who danced to MJ's Thriller two years ago! This was a tribute done recently.
They even did Big Bang and Wonder Girls!!!
I still wonder how they get Kpop into their prisons. LOL!
This girl, IU, covered three popular songs. I love her acoustic versions! Especially Big Bang's Lies. I'm a sucker for acoustic covers. =P She should stop doing cutesy stuff and write her own songs. And she's only 16!
Anyway, I finally saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Wednesday with Amanda and Qiki. It's been a while since I saw Amanda. The last time we hung out was for Lee Hom's Music-Man concert! XD Had a great time with the both of them. (To Qiki, about the photography job with ... , go for it! =P)

I read on the papers today that the movie isn't really in the critics' good books. Apparently the storyline had a lot of loopholes and the whole movie didn't make sense. To me, I LOVED IT. The plot is good enough for noobs like me. I thought the pace of the movie was great, kept my heart pumping throughout the two and a half hours. At the end of the day, we're all watching Transformers for the unending action and awesome graphics, right? Well, at least for us non-critics. The detailed movements of practically each SCREW in the robots are crazy.
SPOILERS AHEAD.
Honestly, I thought the Robot Heaven was a little ... lame? But everything else was good. I love Jetfire! The English robot. Too bad he died. =( And although I knew somebody was gonna die in the movie, thanks to some spoilers (=_=), I didn't know it was Optimus Prime! I mean, I know he didn't exactly DIE. But when he did, I thought Transformers just can't go on without Optimum Prime. It's kinda like watching Superman without Clark Kent. So, lucky thing he came back to life! =D
Okay. I know I'm a bad critique. I'm just too lazy to go into details. LOL I kinda miss our movie review assignments. I wonder if we get to do one in Film and TV Production next semester. I hope so!
I'm going to start working at a roadshow promotion for Asiasoft on Monday. I'm not gonna rot at home anymore! Waking up at almost 12pm everyday makes me feel like I'm wasting half my life. Can't wait to start! Might stop by at college. Hehe. College students, watch out for the roadshows!
