I put you in front of me, so everybody can see my LOVE.

I have nothing to write about right now. Still thinking about my race relation articles. So here are some videos I would like to share!

Some felt cheated after watching this video. Apparently Disney reused their drawings and animation from their original cartoons. Interesting...

Best version and performance of this song. Unplugged!!! 2NE1 is seriously doing their thing, they don't even look like rookies anymore!

Here's a song by a new artist. Well, the verses would seem more like talking, but listen carefully to the words.

Lyrics based on 1 Corinthians 13:4.

I love the third verse the most:

There is no greater love than this than he who lays down his life for his friends. Now are you willing to lay down your life for your friends? You're probably willing to lay down your life for your mother, your father, or your best friends, but are you willing to lay down your life for even those that hate you? I'm going to tell you who did that, the definition of love is Jesus Christ. He is love. The nails in his hands, the thorns in his brow, hanging on a cross for your sin my sins, that is LOVE he died for you and me while we still hated him, that is love. God is true love, and if you don't know this love, now is the time to know, perfect love.

So, would you do the same?

Music Man covers King of Pop.

This video clip was very well done. Sums up all the brokenness in this world with a beautiful song.

P/S Not forgetting the beautiful voice behind it! =P I like the additional er hu sound. ^_^

With Everything.

Open our hearts,
To see the things
That make Your heart cry,
To be the church
The You would desire.
Light to be seen.

Break down our pride,
And all the walls
We've built up inside,
Our earthly crowns
And all our desires,
We lay at Your feet.

So let hope rise,
And darkness tremble
In Your holy light,
And every eye will see
Jesus, our God,
Great and mighty to be praised.

God of all days,
Glorious in all of Your ways.
Your majesty, the wonder and grace,
In the light of Your name.

With everything,
With everything,
We will shout for your glory.

With everything,
With everything,
We will shout forth your praise.

Our hearts will cry
Be glorified,
Be lifted high,
Above all names.
For You our King,
With everything,
We will shout forth your praise.

How great is our God.

Our first Impact outing after the previous trip to the National Zoo on Malaysia's 50th birthday.

We had quite a few places in mind. But we finally decided to go to Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park. I'm so glad many parents were willing to release their children for this trip despite the whole H1N1 scare going around.

I planned to sleep in the bus. But with these girls around, the plan failed. Haha!

Ee Leen... where are you???

"I use XX brand toothpaste!"

Excited boys.

Eunice overcame the heat!

Froggies. ^_^

Resting up on the rocks after boiling ourselves for too long.

The Model Team! I love this background. =)

Boiling eggs! I didn't try boiling any eggs the last time I was here. It's only RM2 for five eggs! I had an egg from Ee Leen. =P Didn't taste any different though.

This pool is REALLY hot. It was after we soaked in the big hot springs.

Wheeeee~!

Managed to snap a quick shot when the pool was empty. It started drizzling right before we headed home. The weather was greater than ever when we were in the pool! Isn't God great? =D

Some of us registered for a session to go jungle trekking. But we heard it could take up to three hours, and we only had less than half a day. If we had gone for it, we might not have had enough time to go for the hot springs.

When we arrived, there was some miscommunication within the management. The jungle trekking guide was going to be late. So the activity was called off. We all went for hot springs instead! =D

It's too bad the Mountain Springs Pool was closed for renovation. The management could have told us that earlier. -___-"

But it's okay. Impact-ers had fun in the hot springs. It was interesting seeing everyone turn into red lobsters for a few minutes. Haha!

On a different note, if you haven't heard, Taylor's College School of Communication has been quarantined starting yesterday.

I was just preparing to go to class yesterday at noon when I got a message from Kent about the immediate cancellation of classes. Thank God I came online!

Three students and a lecturer have been tested positive, all from the communication school. But that doesn't mean us communication people should be the only ones getting the 'special treatment'. We still share the same toilets, lifts, classrooms and library. We hope the other schools will also get a break soon.

Although this means we have a shorter mid-semester break during the Raya holidays, two of our assignments have been extended!!!

Thank You, Lord!!!

I was very worried at first because I'm afraid some of the people I interviewed will not be able to get back to me in time. Now, no more excuses! =D

Once again, thank you Jesus! I hope the four people will get well soon.

When you wash your body, wash your hands too!

Parody of I want nobody, nobody but choo~

Go wash your hands!!!

Heroes and Heroines of the day!

... for lack of a better title. Haha!

Yesterday was a very important day for some of us Impact-ers at church. The day of the Blood Donation Drive finally came!

We all had a really tough time deciding on whether or not we want to donate. Ee Leen and I were talking on MSN the previous night, and we were literally debating with ourselves to come to a decision. The both of us opened up about all the things we fear about the blood donation and tried to overcome it by talking it out. I told her I had a feeling I would end up donating, but at that point of time when I was chatting with her I didn't want to.

Saturday's article in Our Daily Journey was more appropriate than ever. It spoke about living out the deeds that God has laid out before us. Sometimes, deeds are not only about giving money and physical gifts, but to glorify God and encourage others with selfless acts.

This article really encouraged me. Right until Sunday morning, some of us still couldn't decide! During the service, when Pastor Dennis announced about the drive, Ee Leen and I gave each other the look. I felt in my gut that I was going to do it. But of course, just like what we see in cartoons, there's that mini angel and devil sitting on my shoulder thing going on.

After the second service's worship session, Tze Mien and I decided to go downstairs to check it out. I didn't expect them to actually prepare beds for donors. I had pictured us sitting on chairs, IF we were to donate. I thought, Wow. This is serious!

Ee Leen came up to me, urging us to do it. Finally, seeing Ammie registering at the counter really helped to build up our courage. We made our decision and headed to the counter to get a quick blood test.

My blood count was really good. 13.5! Hehe. And Ee Leen and I both have the blood type A! ^__^ I wonder if we're A+ or A-. I heard A- is very rare. Imagine if we both have A-. We can help each other out in the future in case of an emergency. Wait... CHOIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!

I was actually pretty calm about the whole thing at first. Some said the blood test hurts more than the actually donation, but I didn't feel anything then. So I thought it should be okay. Then, I just HAD to look at those who were doing it before me, and I saw the nurse inject a HUGE syringe into Jeremy's arm. According to Ee Leen, it's so huge that you can actually see the hole on the needle!!! We quickly looked away and tried to distract ourselves.

We were kinda whining to Pastor Sue and she was trying to convince us all the way. We said it was already too late to turn back anyway because we had already registered our names. We had no other choice but to wait for the moment to come.

On the other hand, Brian was making all sorts of exaggerated expressions that really scared us. Check Ee Leen's blog and you'll understand.

Ee Leen's turn was supposed to be right after Jeremy's, and the bed after his was no longer occupied. She stared at the empty bed, with both an excited yet worried expression at the same time. Suddenly, the nurse called my name instead, which was supposed to be after Ee Leen. I literally went O.O!!!

This is it.

Ee Leen said I look very worried in this picture. Tze Mien and Lee Suan were talking to me, trying to distract me when the nurse was injecting TWO NEEDLES into my arm.

On a lighter note, Lee Suan told me 2AM from JYP were at MOS for the MTV World Stage after party!!! Aaaaaaah!!! I'm not a big fan, but ... but ... 2AM! I don't care if you don't care who they are. I just had to let this out. Hahaha.

I felt a slight pinch from the local anesthetic, but not the huge syringe. Thank GOD! I squeezed the little air ball like the nurse told me too. And apparently my bag filled up really fast! I think I was done in about five minutes.

I had to lie down for a while to rest before getting up. Pastor Dennis just had to come and disturb me. He kept telling me that it's okay and I could get up immediately. Then the nurse quickly came and told me not to. Hahaha! Even Pastor Sue told me I must know who to obey at the right time. XDDD

I felt perfectly fine when I got up. Drank a packet of Milo and ate two sandwiches before I went upstairs for the closing worship session.

Impact-ers! Giju also came to donate. I heard he was really excited about it!

Praise God for a really successful drive. The team from Sime Darby Medical Center did an awesome job!

They prepared about 30 spaces for us to fill in the future. We are allowed to donate once every three months as long as we're healthy. I don't know when my next opportunity will be, I promise I will definitely do this again. =)

On a lighter note, I went out with Amanda after church for her belated birthday. I had an awesome time her, accompanying her during her afternoon shopping session at Pyramid. We went hunting for music stores in search for our favourite merchandise. =P Sunway Pyramid seriously needs to open up more music stores. We want Rock Corner! Can't wait for the DVDs to come out. Haha!

I brought her to Snowflake for some great Taiwanese desserts after that. I fell in love with the shop after my first time there for Cheryl's birthday.

We both had Snowflake Bestseller with additional red beans! Amanda was so excited about the Taro balls because she craves for tong yuen all the time!

Doesn't look THAT bad, right? Hehe.

I miss hanging out with her. Can't wait to visit her at Monash soon!!!

Note: Blood Donation Drive pictures from Ee Leen.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA!

My title says it all.

Ms. Amanda Lim turns 20 on 14 August 2009!!!

Blessed birthday to my best buddy from secondary school!

I love this picture. Future scientists? Hahaha!

Music Man KL 2009!!!

I really miss all the crazy conversations we had when we were in the same class for two years, laughing about everything under the sun. We loved sitting in front, didn't we? We're good students. Hehehe.

Let's go hunting for Lee Hom merchandise soon. And we shall go for the next concert together too! =P

Enjoy your day today. And don't forget our date on Sunday! ^_^

Food lovers unite!

In case most of you didn't know, a bunch of us started a food blog!!!

Flavalogy is finally up and running. Check out our first post. You'll never guess where we went! LOL

Back to School!

Back to UniSA, we're finally in the second half of our degree programme!

Semester 4 is pretty interesting so far, I think my favourite subject now is Journalism Ethics. We've discussed plenty of topics and covered a wide range of issues in only two classes. As usual, the discussion got a little heated when we touched on a certain topic yesterday. LOL I'm so excited for the next 13 weeks! And not to mention, we have Ms. G again this semester. ^__^

But the assignments for this subject are gonna be a killer, even worst than all the previous semesters put together! Even Ms. Jenny had warned Nabilah and I about this when we met her on Monday. But I don't think we have that much to worry, as long as we SERIOUSLY stop procrastinating! I have a lot of things I have to work on starting this week.

For this subject, I need to look out for a newsworthy story, start gathering sources, interviewing people and write an actual hard and soft news article on it. This is the real thing!!! We're not supposed to just Google for press releases and whatnot to get out news. We need to really search for a real news story. Help!

Another exciting subject this semester which I've mentioned several times in my previous entries, Film and TV Production! =D Our lecturer used to work as an assistant director. The assignments sound interesting, but it's definitely gonna be a lot tougher than IDM last semester.

Can someone please suggest something that can be demonstrated without narration or explanation in about two minutes? This is for the assignment which we will be working on for the whole semester. I need something simple but not too boring. Hmmmm...

The subject I'm kinda worried about this semester is Creative and Feature Writing. I'm not creative! I can't write stories. I don't know how to used flowery language. And the best part, our UniSA coordinator this time is an elderly gentleman who expects professional journalism from us, and not just classroom work. Pressure... pressure...

That's my first week back to college for now. Here's a video we showed in class for Film and TV Production. It's Coldplay!!!

The video is just plain awesome. The amount of work they had to do for literally every split second is insane.

You can read the making of this video HERE.

P.S. My college currently has one confirmed case of H1N1. Let's pray that will be the one and only case! >.<

Finale at Segi.

Finally, it's the last of our 14 days (initially 15, but few campuses cancelled at the last minute) with the AsiaSoft roadshow.

Throughout the roadshow, Yu Min and I took turns to drive since we stay very near each other. By the way, she was my Lick Hung classmate for six years. Met her again by coincidence in the roadshow. We had a lot of fun talking during our trips to all the campuses, reminiscing primary school days when we were all young and naive. I have forgotten all the interesting episodes that we had in Lick Hung, she reminded me because she still remembers most of it. For some reason, I prefer my primary school days over secondary school, maybe because of the things we did in school. XD

Anyway, back to the roadshow. I feel so proud of myself for driving to quite a few different campuses located really far OUT OF SUBANG. I'm hopeless with directions. The furthest route that I could remember vaguely was to Media Prima because I had to go there for an interview last year. This time round, the furthest I drove to was UNITEN at Kajang. With the help of Google Maps and Yu Min's GPS, of course.

I seriously need to get one soon! Despite bringing us through longer routes at times, it does serve its purpose. If you ask me now, I can't remember most of the routes we took at all. But I can confidently say that I'm now better at recognising the different highways and routes in PJ. This may sound pathetic for some of you, but it's a great accomplishment for me. So leave me alone.

This week's roadshow was pretty disappointing. We thought that we could have a nice ending to our roadshow at Segi, but we started VERY late because they told us to start setting up only at 1pm. We couldn't hit the target. And being a Friday afternoon, most of the students had already gone home. Since there were barely anyone around, we were just enjoying ourselves on our last day as colleagues. =D

Oh. Did I mean that they have really good dancers at TAR College? We had the most participants for the Rexona No Sweat Audition Challenge from there. They were pretty excited about it. Even the dancers from Taylor's told us they were good.

And TARC's cafeteria food is dirt cheap!!! I had mixed rice, three dishes only cost RM1.90!!! RM2.20 for four. If only I can just go there for lunch everyday. Seriously reminds me of Lick Hung days. Most of the students there spoke Mandarin, so I was practically speaking Mandarin the whole time. I almost spoke Mandarin to Gayle! Apparently a lot of people came up to her speaking in Mandarin too. Poor girl must have been so confused. LOL

Here are some pictures from our last day. Sorry for the really amateur photography.

Of all days, we had to carry up all our stuff up the lift on the final day. T____T I think I've gained some muscles after 14 days. LOL

Setting up.

We had Watson's and Rexona with us too.

Connecting the computers. The Broadband really gave us a lot of problems at times. Connecting and disconnecting constantly got really frustrating!

Done! =D

The wacky duo, Daniel and Elyssa

The bubbly one, Gayle ^__^

Spoiled cable, thank God it was the last day!

Group time!

Blur pictures coming up. Please excuse the old camera... >.<

Alexa and Emily, the happy interns from MYC

Photoshoot at the basement parking lot. LOL

I'm gonna miss the roadshow. Despite how exhausting it was, I kinda liked dealing with all the different kinds of people we met at the colleges. Can't wait to go for our steamboat dinner soon with the group! =D

'Til we meet again, take care guys!
